Christian Heim

Christian joined AIM Equity Partners in 2024 with over 15 years of private equity experience across software and technology-enabled services. 

Previously, Christian held both senior leadership and investment positions at Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe (WCAS), Warburg Pincus, and Elliott Management’s former growth software private equity arm Evergreen Coast Capital. Most recently, Christian led the private equity investment effort at Long Path Partners, a Connecticut-based multi-strategy investment firm focused on mid-market technology businesses in North America and Europe. He has held numerous board roles, including at Quick Base, Alert Logic, Revel Systems, Academic Partnerships, DreamBox Learning, ASG Technologies, and Dalet S.A.

Christian is passionate about building category-defining businesses in partnership with like-minded, ambitious management teams. He believes in strategic focus to align and capitalize on a business’s competitive advantages against its market opportunity, and continuously measuring progress towards achieving those strategic objectives to generate purpose. In Christian’s experience, the key to success is fostering relationships built on trust and transparency with and between management and investment teams, which enables open communication and active collaboration, and creates a positive and engaged ethos. 

Christian lives with his wife and two daughters in Menlo Park, CA. Originally from Switzerland, Christian is an avid skier, loves to travel, and actively seeks out the sun to counterbalance his childhood climate. In his spare time, he enjoys outdoor activities and all things health and wellness-related. Christian also actively volunteers in various roles with AYSO and at his daughters’ school, Phillips Brooks School in Menlo Park, CA, where he serves on the Board of Trustees.
